about
This one was fun. It was our first recording as a House a Home, and we had a lot of big ideas for it. We wanted to record a lush, epic song, and it turned out great! Check out the instrumental about halfway through the song, we're quite proud of that part, and it highlights our guitarist Peter's knack for pedals and gizmos.
lyrics
He said, “let your hair down
And grow with me
I’m not a man of water and sand”
I buried my heart in his hands
My heels dug in deep
As I rushed through winter’s sleep
The cold couldn’t reach me while I ran
I buried my heart in his hands
The hourglass moved its sand
And I was left where I stand
The water ran dry
Even from my weary eyes
I am still, I am where I began
I buried my heart in his hands
